Catch22 is using CAPTR, our digital case management platform, to support the delivery of violence reduction services across multiple prison sites. It enables a more structured and consistent approach to managing casework, improving how data is captured, coordinated and reported—reducing administrative effort, providing better visibility of individual progress, and allowing staff to focus more time on delivering targeted support.

Supporting delivery of prison violence reduction services

Catch22 was awarded a contract by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), in close partnership with the London Prisons Group, to deliver a pilot Prison Violence Reduction service across Wandsworth, Pentonville and Feltham B prisons. The service targets the root causes of violence through four key areas: purposeful activity, peer mentoring, mediation and conflict resolution, and exploitation, gangs and debt support.

The programme supports rehabilitation and improves prison safety by screening individuals, tailoring interventions to their needs, and providing ongoing support.

To manage these services effectively, Catch22 required a case management system that could streamline secure data collection and reporting. The system also needed to integrate with existing platforms, enabling easy data export for commissioner reporting, Power BI dashboards, and evaluation.

Delivering a secure and structured digital platform

A web-based case management solution, CAPTR, was introduced to support the delivery of violence reduction services.

The platform provides case managers with a professional view of their work, including case notes, documents and onward referrals, alongside a clear overview of their caseload. It supports structured action planning, enabling progress to be tracked, and SMART goals to be set for each user.

A participant profile captures key information such as release date, remand status, borough of release and level of risk in prison. The system also enables participants to be managed across different prison sites, supporting continuity of care.

Additional functionality includes role creation and management, group intervention delivery, bulk participant uploads, and the ability to design custom assessments and reports for different stakeholders.

CAPTR streamlines both pre- and post-intervention evaluation, improving the management of complex casework and supporting more effective service delivery.

Meganexus’s CAPTR Case Management System has transformed how we manage cases and support service users. It is intuitive, secure, and configurable. It streamlines processes, reduces duplication, and provides real-time visibility. The reporting tools help evidence outcomes and improve decisions, while freeing staff to focus on delivering meaningful support.

The difference it made / The impact

Since implementation in August 2024, Catch22 has supported hundreds of individuals through CAPTR.

Staff can carry out comprehensive screening using customised forms and record referral sources, including self-referrals and referrals from prison staff. This supports the delivery of more personalised plans for each individual.

The platform has made it easier to manage both one-to-one casework and group interventions, helping to reduce case complexity. By streamlining processes, CAPTR has also reduced the time and resources required for case management.
