The council chose NEC Pathways in October 2024. Now training is complete, we’re on the countdown to go-live.
After testing the market to replace an older system, East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) chose Pathways from NEC to give its youth justice officers more time to support young people.
Starting with the kick-off meeting last year, our teams have worked together to agree governance, plan the data migration and get officers up to speed. Now training is complete, we’re in the last few weeks of data acceptance before going live.
Created by youth justice experts, Pathways helps officers to manage each case through to completion, including appointments, notes, intervention programmes, case plans and AssetPlus assessments.
The goal is to allow officers to focus on the needs of young people, which means ease of use is front of mind. It offers simple reporting and collaboration tools and its cloud-first design is more efficient too, enabling a fast response to any changes in Youth Justice Board requirements.
ERYC is one of the latest councils to select Pathways as their youth justice solution.
Samantha Matthews is Head of Youth Justice Services at East Riding of Yorkshire Council:
“ERYC selected NEC Pathways due to the professionalism and knowledge/expertise of the team. We were impressed during the demonstration by how innovative and modern the system looked. Everything has been considered, and it is user friendly. There are no additional charges, or hidden costs like you get with other providers and the team are very responsive to queries and work hard to find solutions.”
Ed Coulthard is the Account Manager for Pathways at NEC Digital Studio:
“We created NEC Pathways to remove the frustrations that youth justice officers face, giving them the information they need when they need it and freeing up their time to support young people. The EYRC team has been a pleasure to work with, and we look forward to supporting them through go-live and beyond.”
