We’re excited to be part of Service Design in Government (SDinGov) this year as sponsors, speakers, and exhibitors. The event takes place at the John McIntyre Conference Centre in Edinburgh from 17–19 September 2025.
Now in its 12th year, SDinGov brings together the international service design community to explore how public services can be better designed and delivered. NEC Digital Studio will be exhibiting across all three days and hosting a speaker session on Day 3 of the conference.
Join our speaker session on Day 3, Friday 19th September, from 12:30 to 13:15, where Amber Polley and Tom White from NEC Digital Studio will lead a 45-minute discussion on the role of design in data-led transformation.
As digital transformation in the public sector becomes increasingly data-driven, there’s a risk that the people using these services are sidelined. This session will explore how to avoid that, by combining data and design to create services that work in practice, not just on paper.
Drawing on real examples from NEC Digital Studio projects, Amber and Tom will share insights on how designers can navigate data-centric environments, work effectively with technical teams, and ensure that digital transformation remains grounded in lived experience.
