Becky is the Head of Learning Design at NEC Digital Studio and is a skilled design researcher, with experience leading teams and mentoring in User Centred Design.

She has a PhD in User Centred Design, and 10 years’ experience working in academia, with experience of module and course development.

She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds a postgraduate diploma in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education.

Val is our Academic Lead for learning and a Senior Lecturer at the School of Design and Creative Arts (SDCA) at Loughborough University. 

Val has over 15 years’ experience teaching Service Design and User Experience Design at Loughborough University. 

She has designed course curricula and modules in partnership with industry partners. She has led and delivered 3 Global Service Jam events, an annual 48-hour community-based design event designed to inspire teams to develop and prototype new services that deliver social good. 

Olivia is a Principal Service Designer and training lead at NEC Digital Studio. She’s passionate about human-centred design and its potential to combine innovation, creativity and culture.   Olivia’s interest and passion lies in doing service design in public and third sectors and she has a range of experience in design, from discovery through to delivery as well as training.

With a background in design research, Rebecca is passionate about using creative research methods to engage a diverse range of people.

Prior to her role Rebecca spent ten years in academia where she used participatory design, co-design, service design and user research methods in the health and social care sectors. During her time in academia, Rebecca completed a PhD which explored the role of research-through-design to support healthcare service provision.
